For ARK: Survival Ascended, the bare-minimum RAM is 12GB, and that only holds up on the lighter maps with a small group. The minimum recommended RAM is 16GB, and that is what we suggest starting with.
RAM on ASA is driven by the map far more than by the player count. A rough guide:
Add roughly 2GB for a normal mod list, and more for large overhaul mods. Expect memory use to run high for the first ten minutes after a restart while the world spawns in, then settle.
A world also grows as people build and tame, so a server that is comfortable on day one may want more after a few months. You can add RAM at any time from the upgrade menu.
