Connecting to your Enshrouded server

The short version: open Enshrouded, select Join, switch on the dedicated-server filter, and find your server in the list. If it does not appear, favorite it in Steam by IP and it will sit at the top of the list from then on. Both routes are below, with the one detail that trips most people up.

Where your server's address lives

Your control panel's service page shows two addresses side by side, and they are not interchangeable:

Connection Info — the game port. This is the server itself.
Query Info — the query port, one number higher. This is the one Steam uses to find and list the server.

The rule of thumb: joining from inside the game just works from the server list; anything you type into Steam wants the query address.

Route one: the in-game server browser

From Enshrouded's main menu, select Join.
In the Server Filter on the right, enable “Show dedicated servers” — the browser lists peer-to-peer sessions too, and dedicated servers are hidden until this is on. This is the step most people miss.
Find your server by name. The filters can narrow the list by password protection, servers with Steam friends on them, empty servers, or a minimum number of free slots.
Select it, enter the password you were given, and play. The password you use decides your permissions on the server — admins, friends and guests each join with their own.

Once joined, mark the server with the star icon and it sorts to the top of your list from then on.

Route two: favorite it in Steam by IP

If your server does not show up in the in-game list, Keen's own recommended fix is to add it as a Steam favorite — favorited servers always appear at the top of Enshrouded's browser:

Copy the Query Info address from your panel — IP and query port, with the colon between them.
In the Steam client: View → Game Servers → Favorites tab → the [+] button.
Paste the address, add it, then start Enshrouded and open the server list. Your server is at the top.

If the server is not listed at all

Check it is actually running: your service page shows the live status, and a stopped server is not in anyone's list.
Give it a minute after a restart — the server registers with the list when it has fully started.
Re-check the filter toggle. It resets more often than you would think.
Still nothing: use the Steam-favorite route above, which finds the server directly by address instead of relying on the list.

What about console players?

Keen Games have shown a PlayStation 5 version of Enshrouded, but have not announced how or whether console players will connect to dedicated servers, or a console release date. We would rather leave this section short than fill it with guesses; when Keen publish the details, this guide will carry them.
