RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 Launches September 15, 2026
Jagex takes Dragonwilds out of Early Access on September 15, 2026, with the full release landing on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 — with crossplay, confirmed by Jagex. The game has already passed a million copies sold.
The 1.0 release ships the Scorned Wilderness — the game's first Raid, a high-end gauntlet across floating islands that concludes Kuldra's Saga with the fight against the God-Eater herself. Jagex has said 1.0 is not the end: Dragonwilds development continues as a multi-year journey, with more reveals planned for RuneFest in October 2026.
Dedicated servers arrived with the Dowdun Reach update on March 31, 2026. Your GG Host server updates automatically: when Jagex releases a new build, your server picks it up without you touching anything.
Current through update 0.12.1. The Umbral Sands content (desert region, Water Magic, the Scorch mechanic, the crafting overhaul), the 0.12 combat rework (stamina, parrying, dodging, animation cancels) and the Agility skill from 0.12.1 all run on current server builds.
Dragonwilds Server Requirements, Without the Upsell
The official RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server supports up to 6 players, and Jagex publishes an exact memory formula: 2 GB base plus 1 GB per player. That's the whole story. A full 6-player server needs 8 GB of RAM.

Why Run a Dragonwilds Dedicated Server?
Base-game co-op in Dragonwilds is capped at 4 players and the world only exists while the host is online. The dedicated server changes both: up to 6 players, on a persistent Ashenfall that stays up around the clock. Your clanmates in other time zones log in and play whether you're online or not.
The server software is Jagex's own free dedicated server tool. On GG Host it comes preinstalled and managed: you set the server name, world name and admin password, and the panel handles the rest. Progression carries the RuneScape DNA the game is known for, with skills training to 99, including the Fishing and Runecrafting skills added in Dowdun Reach.
Attack traffic is handled by our in-house DDoS mitigation, written on XDP and eBPF, inspecting packets in the network driver before the operating system's network stack sees them. Attacks come in, players keep playing. No extra charge.
Mods and Community Content
There's no Steam Workshop for Dragonwilds yet, but Jagex has published official community modding guidelines, and a community scene is active on Nexus Mods with UE4SS and .pak-based mods. Jagex has said modding and private servers are "definitely on the table."

What do I control on my Dragonwilds server?
