Backups

A backup is automatically created every time your server is started or restarted. There is no need to create manual backups — simply restart your server before making any major changes to ensure you have a recent backup to fall back on.

We recommend restarting your server before:

• Updating the server to a new version.
• Making configuration changes.
• Creating or deleting worlds.

Restoring a Backup

1. Stop your server.
2. Navigate to Restore a backup in the left-hand menu.
3. Select the backup you wish to restore from the list.
4. Click Restore and confirm.
5. Wait for the restore to complete.
6. Start your server.

Warning: Restoring a backup will overwrite your current server data, including all world saves and configuration. This action cannot be undone.

What Is Backed Up

Backups include:

• Server configuration — ServerDescription.json (invite code, password, server name, active world)
• World data — All world folders including save data and WorldDescription.json files
• Server settings — Any custom configuration files
