The Official Deadside Server Host
Bad Pixel runs every official Deadside server on GG Host machines. Not some of them — all of them. When you rent a Deadside server here, you're on the same infrastructure the developer chose for their own fleet.

That announcement also spelled out why: Ryzen 9 CPUs, DDR5 memory, NVMe storage and 20Gbps connectivity. The arrangement has held ever since — through the 1.0 release and every update to the current 1.10 build.
Running the Current Build, Always
Update 1.10 (June 18, 2026) added the Prison and Port locations in grid E5, mission bosses, the improvised crossbow and launcher, and heavy armor. Hotfix 1.10.1 followed four days later. Your GG Host server picks up each build automatically — no manual patching.
Earlier this year, Update 1.9 (April 28, 2026) overhauled progression with blueprints, expanded the map around Mirny and reworked airdrops — the biggest shake-up to Deadside's loop since 1.0.
What's next: Bad Pixel's work-in-progress post from August 14, 2026 previews new ground vehicles (the VAZ-2107 and BRDM), tire mechanics, boars, a new point of interest and more missions. When it ships, servers here update the day it drops.
PC and Console Servers Are Separate — Here's How That Works
Deadside doesn't mix PC and console players. The Deadside Server (PC) hosts Steam players; the Deadside Console server hosts PlayStation 5 and Xbox — each platform on its own, or with crossplay between the two consoles. That's why they're separate products. Under the hood, though, both run on the same GG Host server hardware.
Console pricing is deliberately simple: one flat monthly fee, regardless of slots. Adding players doesn't add cost.
PC servers can also run the Public Test Server branch — switch your private server to PTS from the panel and try upcoming patches before they go live (guide).
Console Mod Support, Built Into the Panel
Since Bad Pixel's Mod Kit update (August 19, 2026), Deadside console servers support mods. On GG Host, mod management is part of the control panel itself.
Click the Mod.io icon on your service page and you're browsing the game's official mod.io catalog: search, filter by tag, check download counts and ratings. Click Install, drag your mods into load order, restart the server. That's the entire process. No file uploads, no config editing, no FTP.
Your mod list is stored in the panel, so it survives game updates and server reinstalls. If a mod misbehaves, remove it and restart; that works even when mod.io itself is down. Players install nothing: the game downloads the server's mods automatically when they join.

What You Control
Server settings — raid schedules, loot, player counts and the rest — are managed from the panel, and our knowledgebase documents each one rather than leaving you to guess. You can switch the map your server runs, move to the PTS branch and back, and reach your files over SFTP.
Attack traffic is handled by our in-house DDoS mitigation, written on XDP and eBPF, inspecting packets in the network driver before the operating system's network stack sees them. Attacks come in, players keep playing. No extra charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is GG Host really the official Deadside server host?
Yes. Bad Pixel announced the move publicly in the Update 0.11.0 Steam post, and every official Deadside server runs on GG Host infrastructure today. Renting here puts your private server on the same hardware.
Do PC players and console players share servers?
No. PC (Steam) players and console players never share a server. The console product hosts PS5 and Xbox — individually or with crossplay between the two consoles — while PC players use the PC product. Both products run on the same GG Host server hardware.
Does adding slots to a Deadside console server cost more?
No. Console servers are one flat monthly fee — the price doesn't change with slot count.
Can I try experimental Deadside patches on my server?
Yes, on PC. Switch your private server to the Public Test Server (PTS) branch from the panel, try the upcoming build, and switch back when you're done. There's a step-by-step guide in our knowledgebase.
How fast is my Deadside server set up?
Minutes. Servers deploy automatically after checkout, and game updates install automatically from then on — including day-one builds like Update 1.10.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — game servers come with a 48-hour money-back guarantee. If the server isn't what you wanted, open a ticket within 48 hours of your order and we'll refund the payment, minus the payment processor's fees (roughly 3% + £0.20 — the gateway keeps those either way). This covers game servers; dedicated servers are provisioned per order and aren't included. The exact terms are in our Terms of Use, §23.
What uptime can I expect?
Every location is backed by a 99.99% monthly network uptime SLA from our datacenter partner. We quote network uptime rather than a blanket number on purpose: whether the game process stays up also depends on the game itself — a bad patch can crash any server, on any host. The infrastructure underneath it is the part we can honestly put a number on.
Can I run mods on my Deadside console server?
Yes. Since the Mod Kit update (August 19, 2026), Deadside console servers support mods, and GG Host has mod management built into the control panel: browse the game's mod.io catalog, install, set load order, restart.
Do players need to install anything to join a modded console server?
No. The game downloads the server's mods automatically when a player joins. Mods are managed entirely server-side, from your GG Host panel.
